Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef, and the former Institute of Culinary Education instructor She is also a television personality. She hosts the Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef, and is also the host of Worst Cooks in America. Ann Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef and her signature sparkling blonde locks, and her bubbly to the max, shares easy techniques anyone can master. Chef Burrell was also employed by various top eateries located in New York, studied the cuisine and culture of Italy as well as competed on Food Network's Iron Chef America. Growing up in upstate New York, Chef Burrell was captivated by cooking and food at young age. After receiving an English and Communication degree from Canisius College in Buffalo NY she decided to follow her dream of the restaurant business by enrolling as a student at The Culinary Institute of America. The Culinary Institute of America was a great learning experience for me. I was unable to learn enough, didn't perform enough or work hard enough. Chef Burrell, after graduating from the Culinary Institute for Foreigners in Italy worked for one year in Umbria in Umbria at La Taverna del Lupo and Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, the Michelin-starred restaurant. Through her stay in Italy she was able to fully be aware of the history and concept behind Italian food and culture that created a lasting impact in her viewpoint. Burrell is a celebrity ambassador in the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation. Additionally, she has been on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which assists kids who have challenges. as a speaker, guest and mentor, she travels around the U.S. to share her love for cooking and career. Throughout Anne's culinary journey she has often said that I am blessed to be able to share my true passion within my life with other people.
