Sarah Hyland

Sarah Hyland was the daughter of actors Melissa D. Canaday (New York City) and Edward James Hyland (New York City). When she was just four years old she entered the industry with voiceovers and commercial work. Private Parts (1997) was her first film. Her next film was The Object of My Affection (1998) followed by time on Another World (1964) as "Rain Wolfe" A child who was discovered in the park and cared for by Josie and Gary. Sarah would go on to work alongside Amy Carlson ("Josie") several times: Falcone (2000) and Law & Order (1990), as well as Law & Order: Trial by Jury (2005). Sarah was cast to portray the character of "Audrey Hepburn" in Jennifer Love Hewitt's The Audrey Hepburn Story (2001). The following year, she was also selected to play "Molly" in ABC's The Wonderful World of Disney: Annie (1999). Starring Kathy Bates, Audra Mcdonald, Victor Garber, Kristin Chenoweth, Joe Gould's Secret (2000) as well as Falcone (2000). Sarah was a vocalist, tap, jazz and hip-hop along with film and TV work. Sarah, a New Yorker, also took part as an invited performer for her tap and Theatre dance classes at "Reel to Real" Lincoln Center. Sarah was home-schooled by her mother up to 2nd grade. After that, she attended Public School. Sarah was accepted to PPAS in 6th grade. The school was where she was until she graduated in 2008. Sarah was 18 when she relocated to Los Angeles. She landed an aircraft named "My American Family" within two weeks. The name was changed to Modern Family (2009, after Sarah was picked). Today, Sarah portrays "Haley Dunphy" the eldest Dunphy child. Modern Family (2009) won numerous awards, but the most notable was the Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series.
