Charisma Carpenter

Charisma Carpenter was born on July 23rd, 1970. Cordelia Chase was a character from Buffy the Vampire Slayer's supernatural thriller series (1997-1999) as well as its spin-off series Angel (1999-04). She was also a star in Charmed (2004), Kendall Casablanca's (2005-2006), Rebecca Sewell (2012-2013) and Lacy (2010-2012) Carpenter was born in Las Vegas (Nevada), the daughter of Christine Carpenter, an employee of a bird sanctuary and Don Carpenter, an entrepreneur. Carpenter is of Spanish (from the maternal grandfather), French and German descent. Carpenter attended Bishop Gorman High School located in Las Vegas. She was involved in a dance and dance group that performed in the Las Vegas Valley. Carpenter moved with her family Rosario Beach in Baja California, Mexico, at age 15 years old. She attended Bonita Vista High School and Chula Vista School of the Creative and Performing Arts. Carpenter has traveled throughout Europe after graduating. Carpenter returned to San Diego in 1991 and worked as an aerobics instructor and videostore clerk and property manager. In 1991, she worked as an cheerleader for San Diego Chargers football team. In 1992, she relocated to Los Angeles.While swimming in San Diego in 1991, she and two male buddies were attacked by Henry Hubbard Jr., the former San Diego police officer and serial rapist who tried to subdue them by threatening them with guns. Both Hubbard Jr. and her companions were wounded in the fight. Both of them survived. Hubbard was detained, later found guilty and sentenced to 56 years in prison for a series of rapes and robberies. Carpenter carried Hubbard's police-issued flashlight to the beach, that he had left at the scene, and the flashlight was one of the key pieces of evidence against him.
